Instead of the identity of a volunteer in the organisation being a particular role in a particular service, this opens up for skilled volunteers to be able to be utilised across different teams during their journey.

It is evident form internal and external research that many volunteers want to give or develop a particular skill and therefore would be a fabulous opportunity for new attraction. 

Moreover, these volunteers would work cross-service and be bridges in an increasingly siloed organisation.
