When a new volunteer starts it would be good if there was a traning plan to take into account what areas of the business the volunteer is interested in gaining skills in.

For example if a volunteer is very interested in customer service & till work it would be good to reflect this in a training/learning plan that is time bound.  This would help the British Red Cross to retain volunteers who may become disengaged because they feel they are not being challenged.
