Remove and reduce the need for FTP where possible

This creates an immediate barrier to entry, I have had THREE FTP's cancelled on me! It also requires you to give up weekends or take time off work. There can also be a huge gap between going on the course and then being able to start your role.

Can this be done digitally and can it be flexed or tailored based on the volunteer role you do? It also needs to work for the volunteers time, not fit around BRC.

Absolutely agree, much of this training could have been done online and addressed at interview. Venues are too far sparser and the London Bridge venue had no windows and dirty toilets. Please look at the skills of your applicants and address their training needs rather than a one size fits all. I have been a therapist in the NHS and have Red Cross first aid training, so I already have the people skills, first aid and safeguarding training.
